About Singapore Productivity Association
The Singapore Productivity Association (SPA) was set up in 1973 as an affiliated body of the then National Productivity Board, now Standards, Productivity and Innovation Board (SPRING Singapore). Its object is to promote the active involvement of organisations and individuals in the Productivity Movement and to expedite the spread of productivity and its techniques.
The mission of the Association is to raise the Productivity of Organisations and Individuals in Singapore.
The Association has a Governing Council which is headed by Mr Poon Hong Yuen, Chief Executive, SPRING Singapore. The Council is responsible for laying down the policies of the Association. A Management Committee, comprising elected members, plans and implements the activities of the Association. The present President of the Management Committee is Dr Ahmad Magad, Group Managing Director, II-VI Singapore Pte Ltd.
About Singapore Productivity Centre
The Singapore Productivity Centre (SGPC) was set up by the Singapore Productivity Association as a competency centre to drive enterprise productivity in order to achieve sustainable growth and competitiveness. It is endorsed by the National Productivity and Continuing Education Council (NPCEC) as the services productivity centre with initial focus on the retail and food services sectors.
SGPC provides a comprehensive range of services and solutions to help enterprises effectively. This includes in-depth productivity consultancy, conferences and workshops on productivity-related topics, study missions, benchmarking and applied research. Besides its own competencies, SGPC partners other organisations both locally and overseas to bring the best productivity resources together for the benefit of Singapore enterprises.
